How the Fantasy Trade Calculator Works
Our fantasy trade calculator helps you evaluate trades by comparing the total player values on each side. Simply add the players involved in the trade for both teams, assign each player a value between 0 and 100 based on their projected performance, and the calculator will determine whether the trade is fair. The fairness percentage is calculated by comparing the difference in total values relative to the higher side.
Tips for Evaluating Fantasy Trades
When evaluating trades, consider more than just raw player value. Think about positional scarcity, your team's specific needs, remaining schedule strength, and injury risk. A trade that looks slightly unfair on paper might actually benefit your team if it fills a critical roster gap. Use this calculator as a starting point, then apply your league knowledge to make the final call.
Understanding Trade Fairness
A trade is considered fair when both sides give up roughly equal value. Our calculator rates trades at 85% fairness or above as "Fair," between 60% and 85% as "Slightly Uneven," and below 60% as "Unfair." Keep in mind that context matters — a win-now team may be willing to overpay for a proven star, while a rebuilding team might prefer future upside over current production.
